Pharmaceutical Production Cost Optimization - Reducing Your Costs Without Affecting Product Attributes

Sizing wet granulation prior to drying is used by major pharmaceutical manufacturers around the world to improve the efficiency and optimize the costs of their wet granulation processing stream. In a recent study published by Merck and Co. Inc. entitled “Investigation of Size Reduction Mechanisms in a Conical Screen Mill for Wet Granulation Before and After Drying”, the study found that after dry milling, wet milled material had less fines compared to material that was not wet milled. Also, wet milling did not negatively impact granule porosity, drug assay distribution or compactability. And finally, Wet milling reduced drying time by 20-25%.

With a full range of underdriven and overdriven models, The Quadro® Comil® can be easily integrated into any process stream. Meets all international safety standards including OSHA, CE, ATEX.
